Who we are

This site is operated by Pike N Hot ("we", "us"), a sauna and cold-water recovery studio based at Glanmire GAA Club, Sallybrook, Glanmire, T45 XE36, Ireland. You can contact us at hello@pikenhot.ie.

Controller

Pike N Hot is the data controller for personal data you provide through this website and in-studio.

What we collect

• Account details: name, email, phone number, optional profile picture.
• Bookings and memberships: session history, party size, plan type, cancellation status.
• Payments: handled by our payment processor. We receive limited receipt info such as amount, currency, transaction reference and last-4 digits — never full card numbers.
• Contact & enquiry messages you send through the site.
• Technical data: IP address, browser, and basic usage logs, used only to keep the site secure and running.
• Cookies: see the "Cookies" section below.

Why we use it (legal basis)

• Contract performance: to run your account, take bookings, process membership subscriptions, and communicate about your sessions.
• Legitimate interests: to secure the site, prevent fraud, and improve our service.
• Legal obligation: to keep accounting and tax records.
• Consent: for optional emails such as review requests and re-engagement nudges — you can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.

Retention

We keep your account and booking data for as long as your account is active, and for up to 7 years afterwards to meet Irish tax and accounting requirements. After that it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission. Email hello@pikenhot.ie and we will respond within one month.

Security

We use encryption in transit, role-based access controls, and industry-standard authentication to protect your data. Payment card details never touch our servers.

Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your booking preferences. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies. Any future analytics cookies will only be set with your explicit consent — you can change your preference from the cookie banner at any time.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
